Introduction

At PhysioLab:sup:`XR`, we are committed to fostering an open, inclusive, and respectful environment for everyone contributing to or using the project. This Code of Conduct outlines our expectations for participants within the community, as well as the steps to report unacceptable behavior.

We expect all contributors, maintainers, and users to adhere to these guidelines to ensure that PhysioLabXR remains a welcoming and collaborative space for all.

Our Pledge

In the interest of fostering an open and welcoming environment, we as contributors and maintainers pledge to make participation in our project and our community a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of:

Standards of Behavior

We expect the following behaviors from our community members:

  • Be respectful: Treat everyone with respect. Remember that your contributions will impact other people, and everyone’s time and effort are valuable.

  • Be welcoming: Help newcomers feel included. Extend a helping hand to those who may not be as familiar with the project as you are.

  • Communicate constructively: Criticism is vital to collaboration, but it should be delivered in a constructive and respectful manner. Avoid personal attacks, and focus on providing helpful, actionable feedback.

  • Stay positive: Maintain a positive attitude even in the face of disagreements. Healthy discussions are part of the collaborative process, and we encourage different perspectives to come together for better solutions.

  • Respect diversity: Our community is diverse, and we celebrate those differences. Be mindful of how your words and actions might affect others.

Unacceptable Behavior

The following behaviors are considered unacceptable within our community:

  • Harassment of any kind, including offensive comments related to gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, or political beliefs.

  • Trolling, insulting, or derogatory comments: Disrespectful or inflammatory language is not tolerated. Be mindful of how your words can impact others.

  • Public or private harassment: Harassment in any form—whether in a public forum or privately—will not be tolerated.

  • Disruptive behavior that actively undermines the community’s efforts or creates an unproductive or hostile environment.

All complaints will be reviewed and investigated promptly. Community members who violate the Code of Conduct will be subject to appropriate consequences, which may include:

  • A formal warning

  • Temporary or permanent expulsion from the community

  • Banning from participation in the project

We are committed to a fair and transparent process in addressing any concerns or complaints, ensuring that everyone feels heard and respected.
